PALLAS sono stati all’avanguardia del cosiddetto movimento NEO PROG che è emerso nel Regno Unito all’inizio degli anni ‘80. Provenienti da Aberdeen, le radici della band risalgono al 1974, ma dal 1980 i Pallas hanno stabilizzato la formazione composta da Euan Lowson (voce), Graeme Murray (basso, chitarra, voce), Niall Matthewson (chitarra), Ronnie Brown (tastiere) e Derek Forman (batteria). Un tour nel Regno Unito con i MARILLION ha visto i Pallas esibirsi al Marquee Club di Londra e il loro album dal vivo autoprodotto “Arrive Alive” ha portato alla firma con l’etichetta Harvest della EMI e ad il studio album “The Sentinel”, con l’ex produttore di Yes ed ELP Eddy Offord. L’album raggiunge la Top 50 del Regno Unito nel 1984 ed è considerato un classico dell’era NEO PROG. Con l’arrivo del cantante Alan Reed, i Pallas registrano l’EP “The Knightmoves”, ed in seguito “The Wedge”, che entrò di nuovo nelle classifiche britanniche. Dopo un periodo di inattività di alcuni anni i Pallas sono riemersi nel 1999 e hanno continuato a registrare e occasionalmente a fare tournée. “Eyes In The Night” è il giusto tributo ad una grande band!
