La Avid aggiunge altri grandi nomi alla collana “Roots” che include i lavori di leggende del blues come Lightnin’ Hopkins, Jimmy Reed, B. B King, John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker, Lonnie Johnson, Reverend Gary Davis e Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhe. In questa raccolta Little Walter e Sonny Boy Williamson sono affiancati da due vecchi amici: Muddy Waters e Howlin’ Wolf. Questi quattro maestri del blues si conoscevano tutti bene e, come spiegato dalle note di copertina, spesso suonavano nei rispettivi album. Erano amici e rivali che suonavano tutti negli stessi circuiti e cercavano di guadagnarsi da vivere con la musica, ma soprattutto erano giganti del blues.
