Questo cd presenta l’album “A Rare Batch of Satch” (RCA Victor LPM-2322), originariamente pubblicato nel 1962, che raccoglie alcune delle migliori registrazioni realizzate da Louis Armstrong per le etichette Victor e Bluebird negli anni Trenta. Come bonus sono stati aggiunti ben dodici brani tratti dalle stesse sessioni, tra cui l’unica registrazione esistente di Amstrong con il pianista Teddy Wilson e con l’orchestra di Chick Webb.
