È stato presentato in anteprima mondiale al Sundance Film Festival del 2019, dove è stato acquistato da Sony Pictures Classics per l’uscita nelle sale statunitensi. La colonna sonora è composta dal compositore vincitore del premio Oscar, Mychael Danna, con tre brani aggiuntivi di The Commodores, Abby Quinn e The Counterfits.
