Il compositore, arrangiatore, direttore d’orchestra e pianista Michel Legrand ha scritto oltre 200 colonne sonore per Cinema e TV, oltre a molte canzoni memorabili. Egli è meglio conosciuto per la sua spesso inquietante musica per il cinema, come ad esempio le colonne sonore dei film “Les Parapluies de Cherbourg” (1964) e “Il caso Thomas Crown” (1968) da cui venne estratto il brano “The Windmills of Your Mind” per il quale vinse il suo primo Academy Award. Nel corso della sua lunga carriera, Legrand ha registrato più di cento album. Ha vinto tre Oscar (su 13 nomination), cinque Grammy ed è stato nominato per un Emmy. Questo doppio CD contiene alcuni dei suoi più celebri brani tratti dalle colonne sonore da lui composte per film come “Lola” ed “Eva”.
