Questo doppio cd, completo di grafiche e note di copertina originali, include gli album “The Southern Style”; “A Prelude To A Kiss”; “Southern Breeze” e “Coffee, Cigarettes & Memories”. Jeri Southern ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale da giovanissima, dopo aver studiato musica classica fin da bambina. Negli anni Quaranta ha iniziato ad interessarsi al jazz e ben presto la sua carriera come cantante è decollata arrivando a firmare per la Decca nel 1951. Nonostante la sua fama non sia stata duratura come quella di altre grandi cantanti jazz, questa selezione di album dimostra il suo talento, impreziosito dalla partecipazioni di musicisti del calibro di Marty Paich, Herb Geller, Georgie Auld, Don Fagerquist, Bud Clark e Mel Lewis.
