Il compositore Chris Jarrett ha scritto la sua versione di Sei Lieder su testi di Friedrich Hölderlin per celebrare e rendere omaggio al 250° compleanno del poeta nel 2020. Romantico per antonomasia, ma anche outsider tra i suoi colleghi romantici, Hölderlin ha ispirato molti grandi compositori del XIX secolo, ma i suoi versi non smettono di affascinare i musicisti di oggi. Jarrett collabora qui con il baritono, recitatore e attore britannico Orlando Schenk, per il quale questi brani sono stati creati. L’album è completato da altri lavori e improvvisazioni di Jarrett.
