L’album è il seguito del glorioso “Book of Shadows LP” (1996), un album acustico registrato nel periodo in cui militava nella band del leggendario Ozzy Osbourne.Tutte le canzoni di “Book of Shadows II” sono state registrate e prodotte ai Black Vatican Studios di Zakk.I due album “Book of Shadows” non sono le uniche esperienze “soft” dell’artista, infatti Zakk Wylde aveva precedentemente pubblicato “The Song Remains Not the Same” nel 2011, che includeva le versioni acustiche dell’album “Order of the Black” e “Unblackened” nel 2013, un album dal vivo acustico registrato al Club Nokia di Los Angeles.
