Per la prima volta, una salace selezione delle prime oscure registrazioni degli EDGE OF SANITY è disponibile ufficialmente su 2LP (23 tracce) e Ltd. (23 + 13 bonus track) con O card. 2CD (23 + 13 tracce bonus) con O-card. Intitolati “Elegy – Chapter I”, i primi demo della band (promozionali, di prova o in studio) “Euthanasia” (1989), “The Immortal Rehearsals” (1990), “kur-nu-gi-a” (1990), “The Dead” (1990) e “Dead But Dreaming” (1991) sono stati ascoltati dal cimitero all’obitorio per essere rianimati dal cantautore/frontman/produttore Dan Swanö (Opeth, Dissection, Bloodbath). Tutti e cinque i demo sono stati rimasterizzati da Swanö, mentre le 13 tracce di “Euthanasia”, “kur-nu-gi-a” e “The Dead” hanno ricevuto anche dei remix necromantici per il disco bonus. Con una nuovissima copertina disegnata a mano dall’artista visivo Mark Rudolph (Carcass, Undeath), “Elegy – Chapter I” è un disco della vecchia guardia da rivivere o da riscoprire. Gli EDGE OF SANITY non sono sempre stati sulla cresta dell’onda del death metal. No, in “Elegy – Chapter I” gli svedesi hanno davvero sanguinato death metal. Questa è una raccolta di death metal svedese underground della vecchia scuola al suo meglio!
