Il cantante di Chicago Jerry Butler è noto per essere stato il leader del gruppo vocale The Impressions ed una delle voci più caratteristiche nella musica popolare americana. Butler ha collaborato con icone come Curtis Mayfield e Otis Redding, e insieme a Sam Cooke, Ray Charles e Clyde McPhatter, ha gettato le basi del soul alla fine degli anni Cinquanta. Questo cd riunisce due album dell’inizio della sua carriera da solista: “Moon River” e “Folk Songs”. Originariamente pubblicati dall’etichetta Vee-Jay, e da tempo non disponibili, entrambi gli album sono stati rimasterizzati per questa edizione da collezione che include anche 4 brani bonus dello stesso periodo.
