Questo cd presenta il classico album di Ornette Coleman del 1961 “Ornette!” (Atlantic SD1378) nella sua interezza. In questo disco Coleman è affiancato da Don Cherry alla trombra, Scott LaFaro al contrabbasso e Ed Blackwell alla batteria. Come bonus sono stati aggiunti gli altri tre brani registrati nel corso della stessa sessione, ma non inclusi nell’LP originale.
