Questo doppio cd riunisce tre dei loro album in quientetto o sestetto: “Camminando nella notte” (RCA Victor PML 10089), “The Best Modern Jazz in Italia 1962” (RCA Victor PML 10326), e “Basso-Valdambrini Quintet plus Dino Piana” (Stella Records LPS 6095). Come bonus è stato aggiunto l’album completo in ottetto “New Sound in Italia” (Verve MG VS 6152) con il grande sassofonista baritono svedese Lars Gullin, così come quattro altri brani in quintetto dello stesso periodo.
