“Sometimes They Come Back” non è solo il titolo di un film dell’orrore tratto da un macabro racconto di Stephen King, ma è anche il riassunto di ciò che è accaduto ai veterani del death metal britannico BENEDICTION, a cui però si potrebbe aggiungere un ‘meglio che mai’. Pur non essendosi mai sciolti ufficialmente, 2020’s Scriptures, l’ottavo album in studio del gruppo, ha raggiunto un obiettivo solitamente non facile. Si ricollega bene a classici come Transcend the Rubicon (1993) e al suo songwriting immediato e memorabile, al pesantissimo Grind Bastard (1998), e vede anche il ritorno del leggendario vocalist Dave Ingram con il suo ruggito spietato e la sua abilità per i testi morbosi e contorti.
