Il leggendario Sam Cooke ha lasciato un segno indelebile nella musica popolare. È stato un precursore della musica soul e uno dei più importanti cantanti e compositori del suo genere. Questo cd riunisce due dei suoi album più rappresentativi, entrambi originariamente pubblicati su etichetta RCA Victor: “Twistin’ the Night Away” (1962) e “Swing Low” (1960). Questi dischi contengono alcune delle pcanzoni più amate e conosciute di Cooke, tra cui “Twistin’ The Night Away”, “Somebody Have Mercy”, “Chain Gang”, e “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”. Gli album sono stati rimasterizzati per questa edizione da collezione che include anche 5 brani bonus registrati da Cooke nello stesso periodo.
